The governor of Karnataka, H R Bhardwaj,on Thursday  sworn-in Sadananda Gowda as Karnataka’s Chief Minister  on Thurday at the Raj Bhavan. The 26 th Chief Minister of Karnataka is the second BJP leader after Yeddyurappa to lead the Karnataka Government following Yeddyuruppa’s indictment in the Lokayukta Movement for his involvement in the illegal mining carried out in his state. Gowda’s appointment is a big blow to his rival, Jagadish Shetty who harbored similar ambitions until the recent vote out casted him out in favour of Gowda. The vote out was held, following the BJP’s failure to arrive at a consensus on choosing the right candidate for the job. Although the exact number of vote-outs was not disclosed, it is said that voting turned out to be a close encounter.
