Future Belongs to Guerrilla Marketing

Image
You are passing through the road with random people and equally random thoughts buzzing and an illuminated advertisement of a product stares from the road at you. Suddenly, a single glare on the product silences the clamor of surroundings and the entire focus shifts to the infant product on the road. Now, that is Guerilla Marketing.  The advent of development carried with itself, the winds of civilizations, which gave rise to various needs and wants. These demands, paved way for broad scopes of trade and entrepreneurships. The call for every product to be heard gave rise to the concept of marketing. Jay Conrad Levinson coined guerilla marketing as a term in 1983. The term Guerilla relies on the warfare tactics that the Cuban Revolutionist Che Guevara successfully employed against the Government and later the Vietnamese soldiers against the Americans in 1960. The methods strictly relied on taking the enemies by surprise and sabotaging their operations. Since, Guevara wa...

Steve hands over Apple to Cook

Image
The future of Apple looks skeptic yet promising as Steve Jobs announced on Wednesday that he would retire from the post as CEO and handed over the reins to Tim Cook, the Chief Operating Officer of Apple. The resignation comes in the wake of reports over the 55-year old’s inability to recuperate post his successful battle against the pancreatic cancer. Steve, who had been on leave since 17 January has been rarely seen in public since his surgery. His resignation leaves a huge question over the reports of his ailing health, which have been strictly confidential until now. The immediate report of Steve’s resignation was met with a steep fall in the shares. The Board of Directors confirmed his resignation while producing the letter in which the visionary requested the board to relieve him of his services.  Although Steve ceases to remain the CEO, he retains the Chairmanship of Apple. The resignation of Steve leaves a huge role for Cook to fill. Cook, until date had been...

Yeddyruppa has the last laugh!!

The governor of Karnataka, H R Bhardwaj,on Thursday  sworn-in Sadananda Gowda as Karnataka’s Chief Minister  on Thurday at the Raj Bhavan. The 26 th Chief Minister of Karnataka is the second BJP leader after Yeddyurappa to lead the Karnataka Government following Yeddyuruppa’s indictment in the Lokayukta Movement for his involvement in the illegal mining carried out in his state. Gowda’s appointment is a big blow to his rival, Jagadish Shetty who harbored similar ambitions until the recent vote out casted him out in favour of Gowda. The vote out was held, following the BJP’s failure to arrive at a consensus on choosing the right candidate for the job. Although the exact number of vote-outs was not disclosed, it is said that voting turned out to be a close encounter. It assumably explains why neither Shetty nor his supporters turned out for the swearing ceremony.  Gowda, a legislature party leader has been a staunch supporter of the former minister ev...

Are you kidding me?

In one of the most bizarre cricketing instances the world has ever seen, England's  Ian Bell was allowed to resume his innings after tea on Sunday in the second Test against India at Trent Bridge after India decided to withdraw a successful appeal for a run out on the second day of the match. It all began when Morgan flicked the last ball of the 66th over to Praveen Kumar who tumbled over trying to field. In between, the two batsmen thought it is a boundary and by the time the ball came back, Bell left his crease and was jogging carelessly, thinking it's end of the session but Abhinav Mukund took the bails off and appealed. Confusion prevailed when the umpires upheld the appeal and Bell was declared out. The English crowd, apparently furious at the ‘tactics’ of the Indians jeered at them. The jeering, it seems, bothered Dhoni to the extent that he asked Ian Bell to come back to the field, much to the amusement of the ones for whom the dismissal was valid. ...

Hum Saath Saath Hain!PM,HM and RAJA...

In the latest developments to the 2G scam, Raja, the beleaguered ex-Telecom Minister named the Prime Minister and P.Chidambaram as his ‘accomplice’ in what transpired during the entire spectrum allocation. A.Raja claimed before the court on Monday that the PM and the Home Minister were kept in loop about the sale of equity shares and there was nothing illegal about it. A.Raja was referring to the deal that was in place with the Telenor buying a stake in Unitech Wireless and Etisalat buying a stake in DB Realty. A.Raja’s shocking revelations have thrown the Congress Government into the state of fiery. There has been enough mud thrown in the 2G scam with regard to the inefficiencies in handling the self-created mess.  The cropping of names of the Congress’s most ‘coveted ministers’ into one of the ugliest scams has put the Congress on the backseat. The NDA Government greedily gormandised the situation by demanding the resignation of the supposedly ‘scam-tainted’ ministers. ...

The Village Girl

Image
I saw you striking the pose, Or maybe you tried, With those blissful eyes, Pausing at the tiny device. The cheeks burnt for the brunt of the sun, Filled up with blisters instead of the smoothness one savours for, But unfettered you were, Least interested in what the skin did fare. The lips smeared with rashes, Trying hard to kiss one another, But you showed no sign of grudges, Perhaps being used to those nudges. The hands confident of a striking pose, That similiar to the city girl, Perhaps even similiar the dreams, O girl, can you reach the limits of  its beams? The legs stronger than them, But for the cracks edging out the toes, Like a dry passage, Reaching an undelivered message, But, O Geeta,I fell for you, For those mischievous eyes, For that parody of pose, For those blisters,so even the cracks. For i found what i never found all over here at your age, The pumping breast breathing for me in disguise, Letting me smell you, kiss you and caress you ...
